Scholarships and other aids for students in Bavaria

There is a lot of information about scholarships and support for students in Bavaria. Here we list a small selection of contact points, and hope it helps the student in search of the necessary help.

Protestant Study Factory Villigst

The evangelic study factory (Evangelische Studienwerk e.V.) is the gifted education work of the Protestant churches in Germany and supports almost 1,200 students and about 200 doctoral candidates of all disciplines at universities and technical colleges. It sees its task in the financial and idealistic promotion and places the central focus on the personality development up to a conscious assumption of responsibility in occupation and society, science and church.

Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture, Science and Art

The state ministry for education and culture, science and art in Bavaria offers diverse opportunities for young people to study, and sees it as an important educational and socio-political concern. In addition to the Free State, the federal government and a large number of other institutions also provide financial support.

Here you will find information on various funding programs, such as the Max Weber Program Bavaria, Elite Studies, International Doctoral Colleges, International Junior Research Groups and Research scholarship. There are also chances and opportunities especially for studying in Munich, or helping needy students, or tailor-made solutions for gifted students.

The STUBE - a study accompanying program

The incomparable study program for students from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, offers in cooperation with the local student communities and development policy institutions, around 20 events each year with development-related topics (weekend seminars, study days, excursions). In addition, students have access to funding for eight BPSA measures.

Their offer is aimed at non-scholarship holders, so-called “free movers” or self-financiers, German and international volunteers, migrants and development-politically interested citizens. Find out if it can help you in your studies.

Learning programs, individual coaching and project management seminars

Dr. Erika Haas, Career and Science Consultant, takes students under the microscope in examining difficulties and test anxiety, in situations of difficulty in their studies, or when creating a scientific work in individual coaching. The costs are to be borne by the students themselves, in individual cases the ESG grants a subsidy.

In addition to individual coaching, Dr. med. Haas also offers career and planning seminars.
